Our world fascinates me

It's been a great night, I cooked a yummy Italian dinner, took a nap with my love and then we watched the dvd of Disney's Earth..so amazing. I believe everybody should watch it..this place is so huge and beautiful. What I'm even MORE excited about is everybody knows I'm obsessed with sea creatures and everything dealing with the ocean...so what's coming out in theaters on my birthday this year?! Disney's OCEANS! I will be seeing this in the IMAX

50 facts about ME

After reading lots of blogs, I noticed I didn't have a "facts" blog like so many of them have...but majority of them have 100 facts or so, I'm not freakin' giving 100 facts about me because that would take forever to think up...so here we go:

1. I love sharks and all things aquatic, love learning about sea animals
2. but I'm actually too scared of sharks to set foot in the ocean-haha
3. I have to sleep on my back to get any rest (stomach/side=no sleep)
4. Favorite treat is ice cream
5. I'm a daddy's girl but also a momma's girl :) & I love going to Beaumont to visit them as much as possible
6. I'm fascinated by technology-computers, cameras, cell phones, gadgets
7. I love Apple computers
8. I'm constantly looking at cell phones, the new and improved, can't keep mine for very long
9. I care too much about people some say, very rarely will you have to come see ME b/c I'm usually already coming to see YOU and I always like helping people solve problems..just like my momma, I can't say "No!" :) I think that is a good trait though..
10. Thanks to Dane's family, I now have a passion for traveling the world
11. We've seen Vietnam, Paris, Prague, Cabo san Lucas, Peru and in less than two weeks we will be in London and Ireland. We have a trip in the works for August for Santorini, Greece and Istanbul, Turkey. Boy oh boyyyyy I love my boyfriend!!
12. I have 6 brothers-2 'real' and 4 'step' but I don't look at them as step brothers...they are just my brothers who I love sooooo much!
13. I love my family time so much-I've always been like that...in high school when there was a party going on..If my brothers were home from college w/ their girlfriends I was home too
14. I miss when we would get a beach cabin and my huge immediate family would be there for a weekend....those were the best of times! Thanks alot hurricane IKE!
15. I have to be listening to music always-It's my favorite thing ever, next to photography :)
16. I'm bad at keeping up with my girly updates (hair, nails, eyebrow waxing)
17. I love all of the Bravo tv Real Housewives shows and all other reality shows
18. Dane and I have been together for 8 years & I'm very happy :)
19. We looooove pizza, it's our favorite
20. I love concerts
21. I'm back in college for medical coding and we don't plan on me getting a job until I graduate, only 9 months, so school is my JOB but I sooo miss making my own money..I miss shopping :( but my boyfriend is so wonderful and takes such great care of me-I don't give him enough praise
22. Speaking of shopping, my two favorite stores are Anthropologie and Banana Republic-there clothes fit me like a glove and I love everything in this store
23. I can't have enough candles in my apt
24. We moved from Mont Belvieu, Tx to Seabrook, Tx in August 2009 just about 30-40 minutes away and we absolutely love it here, love the theaters, malls, restaurant, lakes....everything
25. We are always looking at really neat places to move to...like Chicago, San Francisco, Boston...we would love to live in a walking city for a few years and then move back to be near our family when we wanted to start possibly having a baby..but hopefully that's like 5 to 6 years down the road :)
26. I love my nephews and niece like they are my own :) obviously if you have seen my other blog postings, they are all over it!
27. I enjoy going to the movies by myself.
28. I wish I cleaned more..our place is never really that messy (b/c my boyfriend is OCD about keeping it picked up-even if it is just a jacket wrapped over a chair, he makes me go hang it up in our closet) but I'm glad he is b/c our place is always tidy
29. I hate wearing makeup...but love buying it
30. I'm not a big drinker but occasionally when I'm with my ladies we like our margaritas or speciality drinks
31. Not into the club scene very much, love to dance but HATE country dancing...ughh
32. I don't like spending money on buying shoes or jewelry 
33. I start to stutter if I talk to fast....lol
34. I don't like cheese by itself..yuck..I only like cheese dip & cheese sticks..thats it, no cheese on sandwiches/hamburgers/sliced/cubed/string cheese..gross.
35. I used to be really into sports when I was younger..basketball, softball, gymnastics, did cheerleading in middle and high school and loved tumbling..and did competitive dance when I was 15-17....but then just stopped...sports wasn't my thing anymore
36. I hate staying home and doing nothing..I have to go go go!
37. I'm obsessed with designer purses..I love my purses! I get very defensive when my family (mostly my brothers) get on to me about how much I spend on purses..listen people..the men in my life have spent hundredsss of dollars on golf clubs..more than once...guitars that cost between a couple hundred to $2,000...hunting stuff thats very expensive....my point is everybody has an expensive hobby or expensive collections..
38. We really only want to buy a townhome or condo/loft...because we don't want a yard..or if we do have a yard we want a tee-tiny yard
39. We really want a baby bulldog..they are really expensive but that's the dog we want and we are always looking on You Tube at bulldog puppy videos-they are so stinking cute..but we don't want to get one while living in an apartment..but we sometimes say if we get a little bigger place then it'll probably happen :)
40. I already have my wedding completely planned out..At the Four Season's hotel in Las Vegas..the color red everywhere, reception in the 180 degree suite looking over the entire Vegas strip at sunset, with my entire family there and closest friends (about 30 people) so once the question is asked...all the planning is already done so we just need to make the calls :) I love Vegas, it's so fun!
41. My car is always messy
42. I've had the same best friend since I was 7 and her name is Cassie Bergstrom-she makes me laugh like no other, we can have the tv completely off, doing nothing for hours and still crack each other up, she's my soul mate :)
43. I really want to take a girls trip w/ my friends to like NYC/LA/Vegas/Miami or a cruise..I think it would be so fun!
44. I love anything and everything Christmas, especially our tradition of watching Christmas Vacation with my dad...we still laugh so loud when the things happen even though we've seen it so much and know it's coming :)
45. My favorite place in the world is Disney World, it's fantastic! I've been twice and we are planning to go again this christmas! The Harry Potter theme park is open! I hated Epcot when I was a kid when I first went w/ my family, but when I went the second time when I was 19, it was my favorite park :)
46. We only want to have 1 kid...atleast that's what we say now
47. I don't like to cook..this is a shame because both my moms are fantastic cooks and my grandma's were the best....why do I not enjoy it?
48. My favorite color is red...I wanna decorate everything with red
49. I tried to learn french when we went to Paris and I wasn't very good at it
50. Me and my family love reciting movie lines...if you know us you know this..we can get some what annoying b/c we don't stop! It's horrible watching a movie with us because we recite the line before it happens and then sometimes rewind it and watch it again if its super funny :) I love this about us though..

Ok, I'm done...geez that's alot of stuff!

Kaul Ryder's first video diary :)

Little man spent the night with us and we had a great time! We always like it when he comes and stays with us b/c we get to play house :) We always go out to dinner with him and tonight was no exception, he was a little angel...came back home, had our baths and he played ball with his Uncle Dane. Then he started to get a little antsy so I whipped out my apple macbook that allows you to make videos and he LOVED it! Pretty much sat there for 10 minutes just laughing/staring at his self...so I decided to make his first ever video blog..hopefully there will be more to come :)

Weekly date night tonight!

I love date night, especially tonight's because we are going to my favorite mexican food restaurant...Mamacitas! Best. Fajitas. Ever. (and their strawberry margaritas are not to shabby either :)

Come on weekend!

It's hump day :) which means just a few more days till the weekend! I'm excited for this weekend because I'll be going down to Beaumont on Friday b/c we are going wedding dress shopping for Lindsey on Saturday morning! Her and my brother are such a great couple. Then Saturday is BESTIE night w/ my best friend Cassie who is coming home from Dallas for the weekend & I couldn't be more excited!!! I've missed her so!

Lazy Tuesdays..

I love Tuesdays. My Mondays are horrid; the summer cannot get here fast enough! The only good thing about my Mondays are the fact that right now, the Bachelor is ready and waiting for me when I get home from my 10 hour day of school. So what do I do on my Tuesdays? Nothing..sure I clean up a bit but it's my day to catch up on my recorded shows and just be lazyyy...or like today, sit on my porch and read with a pickle. :)

8 years and still SO in love :)

Today marks our 8 year anniversary! I fell head over heals for him 12 years ago :) My poor friends heard me gush about him for 4 yearsss and no other boyfriend compaired to Dane, my 7th grade boyfriend of 1 month :) He made me laugh and had GREAT hair! Then at 15, he REALLY stole my heart and we have been together ever since...we are TRUE high school sweethearts! Who knew in 2002 that we would have made it this far, get to spend everyday together and travel the world? He is my best friend, How did I get so lucky?! I love you. I love you. I love you.

Do you have a reservation?

Really? Really?? Went into Houston to P.F. Changs for our Valentines Dinner (a night before) and got there at 5:00 b/c we knew that there would be a little wait..maybe, 15 minutes...30 at the MOST. Well, we were wrong. There was an 1 hour and 45 minute wait....at 5:00 p.m!! We were shocked...we decided to put our name down anyways b/c they have some great shops (Anthropologie my absoulte fav!) next door. I guess next time we will know to make a reservation. We weren't all that hungry anyways b/c we had a pretty scrumptious lunch at Star Pizza off of Norfolk, then Dane really wanted to go to the House of Pies and get an apple pie, so I had a piece of chocolate cake. Then we made our way to the movie theater and saw Valentine's Day (cute) and then to dinner...so it's probably a good thing we didn't get seated at 5 b/c we weren't very hungry. It all makes GREAT lunch and dinner for tomorrow though :)

We went out to eat and to a movie today, going into Houston tomorrow and doing the same thing again..I'm so excited about going to see Valentines Day!  Monday marks our 8 year anniversary! Looong time but it's been wonderful :)
